Sitting in many camps: Celebrating and supporting First Nations peacebuilding

This project builds on the foundation of the Gathering Food for Thought initiative to explore and honour the vital role of First Nations practices in peacebuilding.

By examining five key case studies, it aims to uncover the unique methodologies, cultural contexts and Indigenous interpretations of peace, while also highlighting the resources and support systems that sustain such initiatives. It seeks to foster a collaborative network that amplifies First Nations wisdom in both national and global peacebuilding efforts.

This work aspires not only to influence policy and reconciliation in Australia, but also to address broader issues like climate change and sustainable development, offering Indigenous-led pathways to justice and lasting peace.
