Title: Perceiving Indigenous values in collaborative policy design

Summary: Problem representation in Indigenous policy de-legitimises Indigenous ways of knowing. I propose to incorporate a post-structural analysis of Indigenous policy, referring to problem representation elements. I will then examine how perceptions of non-Indigenous policymakers construct dominant conceptions of ‘value’.

My study will highlight examples of Indigenous value creation covering education, culture, and health. I will then analyse how the perceptions of non-Indigenous public policymakers align with Indigenous value examples, and how these perceptions impact on collaborative policy design.
