Applications open for Indigenous Community Fellowships

The Indigenous Knowledge Institute in partnership with the Melbourne Social Equity Institute is offering up to two fellowships for Indigenous applicants working at community organisations and looking to undertake a small research project with academic training and mentorship from the University of Melbourne.

The Community Fellows Program is an initiative of the Melbourne Social Equity Institute which aims to meet the research needs of community organisations to conduct small research-related projects in collaboration with university-based researchers.

The Indigenous Knowledge Institute has partnered with the Melbourne Social Equity Institute to offer two fellowships for applicants who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and are working in an Indigenous community organisation or proposing an Indigenous focused research topic for their fellowship.

The fellows will receive library access, academic mentorship, research skills training and a range of other opportunities through the program. Community organisations will receive up to $5000 each to compensate for the time the fellow spends undertaking the fellowship. Applications close 23 October 2020.
