Valda Napurrurla Shannon Warntaparri

Valda Napurrurla Shannon Warntaparri is a Warlpiri and Warumungu woman from Central Australia in the Northern Territory.
Valda previously worked with the Mental Health Association of Central Australia (MHACA) developing a program with Elders into an Indigenous context titled Suicide Story. She understands several Aboriginal languages and dialects across Central Australia and has worked as a Walpiri/Warumungu interpreter for the Northern Territory Aboriginal Interpreter Service. Valda currently serves as the member for Patta on the Barkly Regional Council.
